Autumn is on it's Way and Christmas is Fast Approaching!

Autumn is on it's Way and Christmas is Fast Approaching!

Autumn is on it's Way...and Christmas Isn't Far Behind!

As the leafy trees around Blanchland start to turn, gorgeous golden yellows and burnt reds become the new norm, we pinch ourselves in disbelief as we approach October, already! It's a common theme, isn't it? Where does the time go, and how quickly it passes? As a teacher working to a timetable for so many years, life was very segmented by half terms and holidays, break and lunchtimes, and the beginning and end of lessons. The pace is different now, the mornings start a little later, and the evenings last a little longer. Being your own boss is satisfying and being able to weave your own schedule, is one of the very best things. It's rare we down tools, but when we do, there is a peculiar sensation attached to it, which feels kind of special and ever so slightly naughty!

A Time for Creativity and Innovation

In preparation for Christmas, October is going to be a quieter month for us, with only 3 events, Misfits Market in Darlington on Sunday 5th, Sheepfolds on the 11th, and Jesmond Food Market on Saturday 18th. The rest of the time you will find us both in The Shed creating new pieces, trying out new ideas and building up stock for our fabulous outlets, The Jaspah Crewe, The Lord Crewe Arms, Elvet and Bailey and No.1 At Kirkharle.

An Exciting Arrival on the Horizon

Most importantly we have a very special arrival expected in late October, and when baby Walker-Wilson arrives, things will become a little more interesting and chaotic! Needless to say, we are very excited and can’t wait for our first Grandson to arrive!

Christmas is Coming...

We have some lovely Christmas events lined up, pop along and say Hi! Check out our itinerary here . For something extra special, set in the most gorgeous location, join us for our two day, Blanchland Artisan Christmas Market, our carefully curated artisan event is a shopping experience to be remembered, we look forward to welcoming you on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November!

Just a little note if you are planning on ordering something special for Christmas, please get in touch as soon as possible. We love a commission piece, but we do need time to work with you, to ensure your jewellery is created in plenty of time. Please take a look at our collections, which will be updated soon, to include Fly Agaric necklaces, silver embossed band rings and stunning new earrings. Remember, everything is made to order and if it's silver, we send it off to Edinburgh Assay for Hallmarking, after we have made it, or its component pieces. They, like us, will be very busy in the run up to Christmas, so don’t delay if you want a silver piece of jewellery this year!

We look forward to a festive and fun run up to Christmas, we hope you will join us along the way!
