Helm Chain Workshop - Rindill Makes

Join us at Beyond the Byre & Co, Hexham to discover your new favourite hobby — chainmail! Explore this ancient craft through jewellery-making in this fun, hands-on workshop with Ellie of Rindill Makes.

You'll be learning Helm Chain, a classic chainmail weave with a complex-looking pattern that's surprisingly achievable. You'll use your newfound skills to create your own bracelet, necklace or wallet chain, easily customisable with charms and gems.

Blending pattern, rhythm, and wearable design, the session will explore two approachable chainmail weaves, introduce you to jump rings and jewellery pliers, and ensure you leave with a wearable piece created entirely from scratch.

Expect a relaxed and friendly setting, lots of support, and a little bit of nerdy chainmail knowledge.
