Artisan Makers Markets Blanchland 2024

We are delighted to announce our 3 Artisan Markets for 2024. Blanchland is nestled in the valley on the border of County Durham and is a popular visitor destination, with beautiful walks, stunning landscapes and a uniqueness evolved from its early history and the building of the Premonstratensian Abbey and is home to the iconic Lord Crewe Arms.

Festival of Spring - Monday 6th May 2024
Feel Good Fair - Sunday 11th August 2024
Christmas Artisan Market - Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 2024
We carefully curate each market to ensure the very best choice and range of handmade goods for our lovely customers and the very best fit for our traders. We do our very best not to duplicate and part of our eligibility criteria is that the work must be made by the trader and of course be of the highest quality.
We are always looking for new local talent, if you think you fit the bill you can apply here for our 2024 events
If you like to shop local, love supporting small independent businesses and adore all things Artisan then these events are just  for you. We have over 34 independent stalls at most our markets and each event has a special focus with demonstrations, skills share and activities to join in with.
Our markets take place in gorgeous buildings located throughout the beautiful village of Blanchland, Northumberland, helping make this a fabulous day out and great shopping experience for everyone.
The Lord Crewe Gatehouse is an intimate venue with 6 amazing makers and refreshments available throughout the day. (Stair access only). For our summer events we also move out into the gorgeous Lord Crewe Garden, with log fires and views this is the perfect setting for our Well Being events, what could be more relaxing? (subject to the weather of course)
Blanchland Village Hall is our most spacious venue, giving us ample to room to showcase our talented makers, its an accessible space with disabled toilets, easy parking and beautiful views. For our busier events we also utilise the Long Room, and bar, where you will also find live music performances, tasty snacks and refreshments served throughout the day.
Blanchland Abbey with its intriguing history makes it the perfect venue for our demonstrations, workshops and activities.
Follow Blanchland Artisan Markets for more information.
At our markets and events we always take the opportunity to support local charities, through raffles, sales of refreshments etc. Thank you in advance to the wonderful traders and local businesses who donate prizes so generously.
